~ One-stop proposal from visualization of CO 2 emissions to reduction measures ~

Became a greenhouse gas reduction policy partner for ScopeX, a greenhouse gas visualization service including CO 2 operated by TBM Co., Ltd. Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and CEO: Nobuyoshi Yamasaki, hereinafter referred to as TBM) , Epson Sales Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fuminori Suzumura; hereinafter referred to as Epson Sales), which sells and markets Epson products and services in Japan, participated. Through this collaboration, we will visualize the CO 2 emissions of the entire company using ScopeX and even propose Epson inkjet printers as a measure to reduce them.

background purpose

TBM will start providing “ScopeX”, a cloud service that calculates greenhouse gas emissions generated from a series of business activities such as raw material procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and disposal, from 2022. This service has been adopted by various industries, including real estate-related businesses. As the number of service users increases, an increasing number of companies are seeking measures other than replacing air conditioning and lighting with energy-saving products as measures to reduce CO 2 emissions in the office. We have decided to collaborate with Epson Sales, which provides "Output Environmental Assessment Service."

This service visualizes printer operating status and simulates CO 2 emissions from office printers, and proposes Epson inkjet printers that can contribute to decarbonization. Until now, many companies have visualized their own greenhouse gas emissions but have not decided on specific emissions reduction plans, but by using this service, they can now visualize their greenhouse gas emissions in line with their medium- to long-term plans for decarbonization management. It is possible to implement reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

Message from TBM Co., Ltd. CEO Nobuyoshi Yamasaki

TBM is proud to announce our collaboration with Epson Sales Corporation. While efforts to reduce CO 2 emissions in manufacturing and distribution processes are attracting attention, there are only a limited number of initiatives that can be implemented in offices, and decarbonization measures that are suitable for each office environment are required. ScopeX is an innovative tool that allows you to visualize greenhouse gas emissions such as CO 2 and even propose reduction measures. Through collaboration with Epson Sales Corporation, we have been able to further enhance our decarbonization solutions for offices. Through this cooperative relationship, we will promote immediate reductions in power consumption and strengthen our ability to propose decarbonization solutions that can help solve corporate issues.

About Epson's "Output Environment Assessment"

This is a service that collects data from printers, multifunction devices, etc., and analyzes and evaluates the output environment. ``My department uses a lot of color,'' ``I think we print a lot,'' and ``I feel like it's getting old and easily broken down.'' Analyze and evaluate. After conducting the assessment, we will help you realize a better output environment by providing a set of proposals that help you understand the current situation and solve problems. https://pd.epson.jp/greenmodel/lp_form/shutsuryoku_kankyou_assessment
