(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Nobuyoshi Yamasaki; We adopted "LIMEX Pellet" (inflation molding grade), which is mainly made of limestone from TBM. This is the first case of using LIMEX for the exterior of toilet paper and hand towels. From December 2022, it will be lined up at retail stores such as drug stores, home centers, and discount stores nationwide.

LIMEX exterior film can reduce the amount of petroleum-based plastics used by approximately 43% compared to Ast's conventional PE (polyethylene) exterior film, and contains _CO2 throughout the product life cycle, from procurement of raw materials to disposal. We expect to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 18% ^*1.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the annual production of toilet paper is more than 1 million tons, which is equivalent to 700 million packs when converted to a typical 12-roll toilet paper roll. As a household paper ^*2 professional, Ast focuses on reducing the plastic used in household paper packaging as an environmental contribution measure that is easy for general consumers to participate in. This time, we have evaluated the environmental performance of LIMEX and have adopted it for the industry's first household paper packaging material.
