■ The Reason for the Adoption

In recent years, global demand for environmentally conscious materials has been rising, and a similar trend can be observed in India's bottle market. With this market shift, Jyoti Chemicals was exploring the adoption of materials that could reduce environmental impact while maintaining conventional pricing and quality. During this evaluation process, LIMEX Pellet, manufactured by TBM, was recognized for its environmental performance and cost competitiveness, leading to its adoption in the production of bottles for chemicals and pesticides.

​_​LIMEX Pellet offers a significant reduction in both petroleum-based plastic usage and greenhouse gas emissions, including CO₂, over the product's lifecycle compared to conventional plastics. Additionally, as it is primarily composed of limestone, a low-cost and abundantly available resource, it offers higher price competitiveness compared to other sustainable materials. Furthermore, due to these characteristics, in the newly adopted bottle manufacturing process, the use of white masterbatch has been reduced, resulting in lower production costs.
