Japanese Only - TBM begins sales of recycled containers using LIMEX recycled pellets and recycled plastic

- Achieving both excellent environmental performance and practicality. Sales start on the EC site "ZAIMA" ~

TBM Co., Ltd., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Nobuyoshi Yamasaki, hereinafter referred to as TBM) uses recycled LIMEX pellets and recycled plastic as material circulation to recycle the environment-friendly material LIMEX, which is mainly made of limestone. We will start selling the recycled container “like-it recycled material stackup container”. This product has been commercialized in collaboration with Likeit Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture, President: Kazuki Yoshikawa, hereinafter Likeit), which handles the planning, manufacturing and sales of plastic daily necessities.

To realize a sustainable society, TBM promotes the spread of material circulation models through partnerships with local governments and companies. LIMEX products are categorized as "products using plastic" under the "Plastic material circulation Promotion Act" and are as easy to recycle as products designed with a single material. There are many examples of mechanical recycling using LIMEX products in collaboration with businesses, consumers, and local governments.
This time, we have commercialized a container with excellent environmental performance that uses "LIMEX UP Pellet", which is repelletized from used LIMEX products, and 100% *1 recycled plastic as raw materials. This container uses the existing model of Likeit's "Stackup Container 53", which won the Good Design Award in 2022, and is a highly designed product that can be used for many years. In addition, by utilizing the technology of physical foam molding, while ensuring the functionality and design of conventional products, compared to conventional polypropylene products, virgin petroleum-based plastics are not used and greenhouse effects including CO 2 are reduced. A 26% reduction in gas emissions can be expected *2. This product can be purchased from the EC site "ZAIMA" that handles environmentally friendly and sustainable products operated by TBM. It has also been added to the lineup of eco-friendly products provided to users of material circulation coordination service "MaaR for business."
TBM will continue to work on mechanical recycling of used LIMEX products and plastic products with the aim of reducing environmental impact and promoting material circulation.
*1 Excludes coloring materials.
*2 TBM estimates (from raw material procurement to incineration) based on specific specifications and manufacturing conditions, not guaranteed values. There is a possibility of variation depending on specifications and manufacturing conditions.

■Features of “like-it Recycled Material Stackup Container”

"LIMEX UP Pellet", which is made by re-pelletizing used LIMEX products, and recycled plastic. This product does not use virgin petroleum-based plastics.

・Reduced CO2 emissions by using recycled materials and foam molding

By using recycled materials and utilizing Likeit's physical foam molding technology, we can expect to reduce greenhouse gases, including CO2, throughout the product life cycle.

・Design that achieves both durability and capacity
