The eco-friendly material "LIMEX Sheet" has been adopted for the "Appraisal File" of Century 21, which operates approximately 1,000 stores nationwide.

-Recognized for its environmental performance that contributes to reducing plastic and CO2 emissions, and its price competitiveness that realizes cost reductions-

TBM Co., Ltd., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Nobuyoshi Yamasaki, hereinafter referred to as TBM) is pleased to announce that its eco-friendly material "LIMEX Sheet" has been adopted by Century 21 Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yoichi Sonoda, hereinafter referred to as Century 21) for the "assessment report files" used by approximately 1,000 franchisees nationwide.

Taking advantage of the processability of LIMEX Sheet, the same shape as before can be reproduced, and the environmental performance and cost reduction that can reduce the amount of petroleum-based plastic used and greenhouse gas emissions including CO2 were evaluated and decided to adopt it. Compared to conventional PP (polypropylene) files, it is possible to reduce the amount of petroleum-based plastic used per book by about 57g, and it is expected to suppress greenhouse gas emissions including CO2 by about 351g-CO2eq *1.

*1 Based on LCA by TBM (calculation of greenhouse gas emissions including CO2 from raw material procurement, sheet manufacturing, and disposal (incineration) (processing into file shape, printing, and transportation processes are omitted). May vary depending on manufacturing conditions. This is a reference value, not a guaranteed value.

LIMEX Sheet reduces the use of petroleum-based plastics compared to sheets molded from petroleum-based plastics, reduces CO 2 TBM's own factory (Tagajo, Miyagi Prefecture), where LIMEX Sheet is manufactured, is a real "CO 2 emission coefficient of zero", the use of electricity will reduce CO 2 We are working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including

■Features of LIMEX Sheet as plastic alternative

・Reduction of Petroleum-Based Plastic Usage

Using limestone as the main raw material reduces plastic compared to conventional sheets made of petroleum-based plastics, contributing to the conservation of petroleum resources.

・CO2includingReduce greenhouse gas emissions

By reducing the amount of plastic usage, greenhouse gas can be reduced over the entire life cycle from raw material procurement to disposal compared to conventional petroleum-based plastic sheets.

・Superior Durability and Water Resistance

Because of its durability and water resistance, LIMEX Sheet can be used in the same applications as conventional petroleum-based plastic sheets.
