TBM's "CR LIMEX" initiative featured in the World Economic Forum's CCU white paper

In September 2025, the World Economic Forum published a white paper on Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU), which introduced an example of "CR LIMEX," which utilizes TBM's carbon recycling technology.

This white paper focuses on the significant role that CCU can play in decarbonizing industry, clarifies current challenges, and explores cutting-edge examples to provide clues for decarbonizing industry. CCU, which converts CO₂ into valuable products such as building materials, fuels, and chemicals, is a powerful means of achieving industrial shift away from fossil fuels and is considered an essential technology for future sustainable industrial transition.

As part of international discussions on the widespread adoption of CCU, TBM has developed a unique material called "CR LIMEX" using calcium carbonate produced from CO₂ derived from exhaust gases. This material can be widely used in building materials and plastic products, and is capable of long-term CO₂ fixation. Furthermore, TBM is working with CO₂-emitting industries, CCU technology companies, converters, and end users throughout the value chain, from production to use, to promote its social implementation.

TBM has also collaborated with relevant government ministries and agencies to establish the material circulation Promotion Council (RRC), which serves as its secretariat, with the aim of promoting resource and carbon recycling. Currently, 2,415 corporations and organizations participate, including a wide range of stakeholders, from large corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, as well as relevant government ministries and agencies, local governments, universities, experts, and industry associations. Through this network, we are accelerating policy recommendations and social implementation of CCU technology.

TBM's activities are being introduced as a globally advanced example within the international CCU efforts to achieve decarbonization and sustainable GX, so please take a look.
