Implementing the Barrier-free Mirai Speaker® at our Company Headquarters
TBM has implemented the barrier-free Mirai Speaker® on the floors of our company headquarters, aimed at people with hearing disabilities.
SoundFun Inc. (President and CEO: Kazunori Sato) is the company that provides the Mirai Speaker®, a speaker capable of delivering clear sounds to distant locations even at small volumes. Verification tests on this speaker were carried out in collaboration with the Tsukuba University of Technology, resulting in 80% of people
noticing an improvement in their hearing, including not only people with hearing disabilities, but also people with normal hearing. The speaker also constitutes a device that complies with the Act on Elimination of Disability Discrimination, which was enacted on April 1st, 2016.
Our company has taken into consideration the features offered by the Mirai Speaker®, installing it across the floors of our headquarters in our aim to improve our provision of a barrier-free environment.
Going forward, this implementation of a barrier-free speaker shall constitute one step in our business activities toward the provision of a much more comfortable, barrier-free environment to our customers.
