“TBM Pledge 2030” was set as an ambitious goal for the realization of TBM’s mission: “Bridging today and the future we want”.
This is the pledge to articulate our out-of-the-box challenge not constrained by the common sense of today.
We believe backcasting from this pledge will allow us to accelerate our business.

Go Carbon Negative by 2030

We aim for more greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction than
the amount we emit throughout our value chain.

  • Zero GHG emissions from TBM*1
    • Energy use minimization
    • Introduction of renewable energy with additionality
  • 50% reduction of GHG emissions from TBM's value chain(base year: FY 2020)*2
    • Promotion of renewable energy introduction across TBM’s value chain
    • Purchasing low-carbon products and services
    • Climate-conscious way of use and end-of-life for TBM’s products
  • Contribution to a GHG emissions reduction of the society
    • Minimization of life cycle GHG emissions from TBM’s products and services
    • R&D on carbon removal technologies and promotion of such projects

*1 Scope 1: All direct GHG emissions by a company (from boilers of manufacturing facilities, etc.)
    Scope 2: Indirect energy-related GHG emissions (from consumption of purchased electricity etc.)
*2 Scope 3: GHG emissions from raw material procurement, distribution, customers’ use, and after-use of lifecycle stages

1 million tons of LIMEX and Plastic
circulated in 50 countries by 2030

We aim to collect and recycle 1 million tons of LIMEX and plastic,
which is equivalent to the amount of plastic material recycled in Japan in FY 2019.
