TBM released the joint R&D relating to LCA with Professor Oki’s office at Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo.
TBM Company are going to hold a shared research that assessing the influence on the natural environment of LIMEX by using LCA that method of quantitatively evaluating the resources invested and environmental impact in the lifecycle of a product from its manufacture through to disposal, and the environmental effects on the earth and ecosystem that this results in with Professor Oki’s office at Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo.

We held the location agreement signing ceremony at Tagajo City, Miyagi.
Selected for the “The National Subsidy for the Corporate Location Giving Job Creation in the Area Damaged by Tsunami and Nuclear Power” by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry at November 27,2015, we have decided to invest a total of 6.65 billion to build a mass-production plant by Dec. 2017.
This plant is supposed to produce 30,000 tons of LIMEX, and to recruit 60 local employees by the time the plant starts running, and the number of employees will grow to 80 in a few years. The location agreement will be made with Tagajo city prior to the construction of the plant, and we will secure 27,500m² area in San Mirai Tagajo Reconstruction Complex(Ippon-yanagi industrial Complex), a leading reconstruction base of the city.
In the future, with the newly established mass-production plant being a model plant, LIMEX technology will be exported oversea, especially to areas with water shortage. We will make great devotion for the world through creating new businesses and new jobs with our Japanese innovations, and for the solutions to water and oil issues in the world as well. Overview of the subsidy program:
This subsidy program aims to facilitate companies’ establishment of new business facilities and create jobs in order to accelerate the industrial reconstruction in the areas inundated by the tsunami in Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima and Ibaraki Prefectures, which experienced particularly great damage due to the Great East Japan Earthquake, and in evacuation zones in Fukushima Prefecture severely affected by the nuclear power plant accident and where the evacuation order has been lifted, by partially subsidizing their cost of building new or additional factories and other facilities.

The 1st LIMEX plant, designed by Kengo Kuma, is completed.
On the 6th of February, the opening ceremony of our new plant was held. We would like to thank everyone involved for their long hard work.
Our Chief Executive Officer, Nobuyoshi Yamasaki and our chairman, the chief Technology Advisor Sumi, pressed on the switch of the production line.
It was thanks to the great effort of Kengo Kuma And Associates that this 1 billion 900 million yen project was able to be finished. It is also thanks to all that who have so far supported us that we are now able to make the word, LIMEX known to the world.
The workers of our plant are local residences. We will work hard with them to solve various problems regarding product development and improvement.
Starting with this new plant, we, all that involved, will united as one to work harder to establish the second and third plants, and make “LIMEX” plants spread in the world.

With a high evaluation on our LIMEX, a new ecology material under the original Japanese technology, we were selected by Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a sponsor of the Japan Exhibition Hall at EXPO Milano 2015. LIMEX products are widely used at the Japan Exhibition Hall, which turns to be a first and great stage for LIMEX to be known in the world.

On the November 20, the Kanto Headquarters of the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation (SMRJ), together with Japan New Business Conferences held the 10th National New business Forum in Shizuoka. The 9th Japan New Business Award ceremony was given at the forum. We were awarded the “Restoration Award” by the chairman of Japan New Business Conferences. As one of the awarded enterprises of the “Restoration Award”, We will continue to work even harder to succeed in the development of the plant constructed in Shiraishi city, Miyagi.
